Welcome

To our church friends and family,

For twenty-six years, Holy Comforter has been our church home and so much more. We have raised our children here. Our closest friends come from this parish. We’ve shared happy times inside our red doors and at our parish retreat at Kanuga…and we’ve watched the earth turn in the memorial garden countless sad times as well. We’ve also been a part of Christ’s work in our community working alongside all of you in outreach.

In this time of challenge and change here at Holy Comforter, we are excited and honored to lead the Making Room for the Spirit campaign here. This campaign will enable us to stabilize our annual budget, update our campus and build a vision for the future with our property next door.

It took a couple of weeks for us to get to “yes” on leading this capital campaign, but we thought how we are blessed at Holy Comforter. Blessed by the work of those who have gone before, blessed to be here and blessed to be a part of what is to come. We were not going to take this on until we were convinced that we (collectively) could succeed. We asked a ton of questions—probably some of the same you may have too. Here we are! We said, “Yes” because we truly believe we can…and should…do this!

We ask you to join us with a prayerful, generous gift to this campaign. We love our church family and this place that brings us together. We trust you do too.

CREATOR GOD, you have given us the whole earth in which to take joy and to do your work. As we step into your new vision for the spaces in our buildings and the places in our hearts, guide us more and more into your service. May your Spirit challenge us to generosity and comfort us with hope for our future. All this we pray in the name of your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen
