Welcome

The St. John’s community is blessed with a beautiful place to worship—a sacred space that invites us to encounter God in word and sacrament. Through their generosity, past generations built our church, cared for it, and handed it down to us, so that we, too, could gather to worship and encounter God.

We have met our goal. Wow! Let us praise God for the amazing commitment already displayed by our St. John’s family. If you’ve already pledged, thank you!

While no one should be surprised, our progress so far is overwhelming. But that progress doesn’t negate or eclipse what we can still do together. Even if you haven’t yet been asked to participate in this campaign, the fact that we've reached our goal doesn’t mean your participation doesn’t matter.

Our campaign is meant to spark a renewed commitment to our ministry, to our mission of worshiping, sharing, and making Christ known. All pledges, all gifts to this campaign – no matter the size – all matter because they each pledge is an expression of our commitment to the ministry of St. John’s and to our shared future. Each person, each family matters. We’re all joined together in the sacred mystery of the Body of Christ in Christ’s church at large across the world and across time, but also in the story of the Body of Christ at St. John’s.

Holy One of Blessing, you created us in your image and call us into relationship with you, with one another, and with the world. In gratitude, we remember those of generations past whose faithful generosity laid the foundation for this worshiping community. As we enter this Capital Campaign, may we join with the chorus of all creation to share your abundant love with those of generations yet to come. Fill our hearts with your grace that we may continue to worship, share, and make Christ known; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord, who with the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns with you, now and forever. Amen.
