We are rooted in the audacious and brave choices that those who founded this congregation made for us. Our branches have grown from those imaginative and bold decisions, and they have proven strong enough to withstand hard times, so that fruit could grow and ripen as a sign of God’s gift of healing and new life.

I hope you will join me in giving generously in the spirit of those who came before us, so that we can live courageously and boldly in our day and together sow the seeds of hope for those who come after us.

Campaign Prayer

God our Creator, we come before you today as your gathered people, rooted in your love and sustained by your faithfulness like the great trees of Scripture, planted by living waters, whose leaves do not wither and whose fruit endures. From the mighty cedars that declare your majesty to the mustard seeds that grow into shelter for the vulnerable, your word reminds us that every tree of purpose is planted by your hand, nourished by your grace, and called to bear fruit for your kingdom. We bring before you this campaign as a people who have seen what you can do with mustard seeds and fig trees, with burning bushes and olive branches. We come believing that what you have started, you will complete. Stretch our generosity beyond our comfort. Deepen our faith beyond our fears. And remind us, again and again, that we are only the branches and you are the source of life. May every dollar given be an act of love. May every need met be a testament to your provision. And may St. Clare’s continue to grow, rooted in your word and preaching the Good News. AMEN
