Dear Members and Friends of St. Stephen’s,

As we approach our bicentennial anniversary as a parish, we know that our deep spiritual roots in God’s grace give us power to move forward in faith. Over many generations, we have cared for our neighbors, have committed to the education of many children, and have celebrated good news in our beautiful sanctuary. We know that we have more work to do, serving God by offering the treasure of St. Stephen’s to our community.

I ask you to support this campaign, giving thanks for those who have come before us and offering a prayer of hope for all who will come after us. May this house of prayer for all people continue to be a place where pilgrims seeking peace and transformation may find and be found by God.

O God of eternal life and all creation, we thank you for the gift of your Good News as we work to bring new life to fulfill your mission through St. Stephen’s. Give us the insight to hold on to what is true, the courage to explore new ideas, and the boldness to create with you. May beautiful music and intimate worship lift our spirits and soothe our souls. As we share our bounty, help us to create a place of access, inspiration, and celebration for all. Help us to continue to love and serve you, not only with our lips, but with our lives. Amen.
