Welcome

Founded in 1855, St. Augustine’s has been a spiritual home for generations of people living in and around Croton-on-Hudson. Faithful worship, engaging Christian education and meaningful ways to be of service to our community have shaped our congregation for nearly 175 years. Today, as an authentically welcoming and inclusive Christian community, we are a happy, diverse, and growing church with many new families. Our church building was beautifully renovated in 2013, and continues to provide a place to hear the Gospel, receive the sacraments and worship God in prayer and song.

In recent years, parish leadership has considered future needs that will support our congregation and serve the community. Various projects have been identified, including a new roof on the Church. Currently, the entrances to our parish hall and parish house are inaccessible to those with mobility needs. The parish house requires significant renovation to provide safe, energy efficient, and comfortable work spaces, as well as flexible gathering spaces for people of all ages.

Our goal is for St. A’s to continue to provide hospitable, safe and sustainable spaces for worship, fellowship, education, outreach and administration. We are blessed with a wonderful location and beautiful buildings that require updating and renovations to continue to welcome all members of our community and support our growth.

Campaign Prayer

Generous and loving God, we rejoice in the many blessings you have poured upon St. Augustine’s. With grateful hearts and an abiding love for each other, may we walk the path you have laid before us. Stir up your Holy Spirit among us to open our hearts and minds to perceive your will for improvements for our church buildings. Guide us to be faithful stewards of the gifts you have given us, and grant us the strength and courage to fulfill our call to proclaim your Gospel and shine forth as Christ’s light in our community. AMEN.
