The Need

Projects and Costs

The Heart of Hospitality $25,000

St. John’s hospitality begins at the altar table and is sustained at our kitchen table. We will retain the old cabinets and stainless-steel counters. Upgraded appliances, a new dishwasher, cabinets, and tile will keep the kitchen humming with activity as we feed friends and strangers.

A Light to the World $60,000

To preserve our stained-glass windows for the next 100 years, we need to repair glass, re-lead some areas, and replace the yellowing plexiglass coverings. We hope our light will continue to shine out into the world, through our windows and through our mission and ministry.

Feeding the Soul $35,000

With the addition of a simple extendable and retractable ramp in the sanctuary center aisle, we can make the altar table, choir, and second floor rooms accessible! The removal of the alter rail platform in order to move the altar rails forward will provide flexibility for worship configuration, both traditional and contemporary. Refinishing the floors, replacing carpet runners, painting, and refreshing our gorgeous wooden ceiling will keep us focused on the beauty and glory of God.

Honoring Our Legacy $30,000

In 2020, we used endowment funds to increase building safety, function, and accessibility. The pandemic was the right time to remove suspected asbestos tiles, put in new flooring and restore wooden floors, and make our bathrooms accessible. Now we want to replace those funds so future generations will have the legacy of an emergency fund.
The campaign also invites members to consider naming
St. John’s in their estate plans; another way to leave a legacy.

Building a Sustainable Future $105,000

St. John’s is committed to a sustainable future. Looking at replacing the boiler and adding air conditioning is an opportunity to consider solar energy and invest in systems that will be cost and energy efficient to reduce our carbon footprint now and in the future.
