The Need

Your support will enable:

Auditorium kitchenette

This project will add a small kitchen in the alcove under the choir loft in the auditorium. It includes installing cabinets, plumbing, and fixtures. This kitchen will be available for coffee hours, receptions, and meetings and is intended to expand the possible rental of the auditorium for community meetings and events. Amount needed: $20,000

Accessible ramp and entry vestibule

This project will create a universally accessible entrance with a ramp on the Chestnut Street side of the church. There will be a glass-enclosed vestibule outside the existing south entrance. The intent is to provide a more direct accessible means of entry into the church for services, concerts, Evensongs, and funerals.
Amount needed: $230,000

Repair of stone wall and iron fencing

The stone wall and iron fencing, particularly on the Sixth Street side of the church, have been a unique and recognizable aspect of our historic church. Unfortunately, the structure has deteriorated to the point that it is now unstable and, in fact, unsafe. The metalwork will be refurbished, and the masonry will be rehabilitated. A well-maintained façade sends a message that we are good stewards of our blessings and are concerned for the safety of our parishioners and the community. Amount needed: $70,000

Fellowship hall and kitchen remodeling

Refurbishing the fellowship hall will provide a welcoming and modern venue in which to gather. This plan includes several changes to the kitchen footprint. The key aspects of this project are: close off door by stove; move sink to the north wall, create a new entrance in place of the current pass-through, establish a new pass-through into the fellowship hall, move large refrigerators in fellowship hall into the kitchen, and install new cabinets. In addition, tile flooring in the fellowship hall will be replaced. These upgrades will make the kitchen more functional for use during the various church events and will be attractive to community groups to use the space for their events. Amount needed: $90,000

Update and create bathrooms

This extensive project will update the existing bathrooms and create two family-assist unisex bathrooms where the nursery is presently situated. (The nursery will be relocated.) In addition, the north/south corridor will be widened and upgraded, facilitating better movement through that area. These four bathrooms will provide modern and accommodating facilities for parish members, as well as the many visitors to our church during the Bazaar, Evensongs, concerts, and community events.
Amount needed: $165,000

Campaign Goal: $610,000 (includes expenses)

Challenge Goal: Refurbish the organ

By raising an additional $50,000, we can add this to funds already set aside and refurbish our organ to its original condition.
