The Need

The Cathedral Church of St. Luke—a place to experience, embody, and extend God's love.

Experience
Our Cathedral was established 150 years ago, and in 2026 we celebrate 100 years of worshipping in this Cathedral building—a true architectural gem. Grateful for the rich legacy of those who have gone before us, we continue to experience prayer, music, scripture, and sacrament. We seek to preserve this treasured legacy for future generations.

Embody
Gathering together, we embody God's love in a nurturing and cross-generational community. Meals, receptions, children's activities, and learning experiences make our connections to one another stronger and more meaningful.

Extend
We believe the good news of God's love and forgiveness in Jesus Christ is for the whole world. We seek to extend and share the gift of God's love to our city and beyond.

These truths guide, inspire, and reflect every aspect of our mission and ministry as a Cathedral church. Through the Light, Legacy, Love capital campaign, we aim to raise $1.5 million to preserve the beauty of our historic Cathedral, deepen our hospitality, and invest in the future growth of our congregation and our service to the community.

Our $1.5 million Light, Legacy, Love capital campaign will renew the Cathedral for a future of expanded ministry in three crucial ways:

Enhance our Experience of LIGHT
Our plan is to restore, maintain, and repair our exquisite stained-glass windows; our historic Telles organ; and the Cathedral's floors, pews, and service areas.

Improve our Embodiment of LEGACY
Our vision is to replace old (1950s-era) HVAC systems, enlarge our restrooms, renovate children's areas, update the kitchen, and paint all buildings. This is in addition to making roof repairs and improvements to ADA access.

Extend God's LOVE
To support the long-term growth of our Cathedral church, we will dedicate resources to extend the Cathedral's impact among our neighbors, in our communities, and in our city—as well as to increase our efforts to build Christ's Church globally.
