Dear Friends in Christ,

When I arrived at Christ & Saint Stephen’s two years ago, I found here a faithful, committed, and resilient parish community rooted in a rich history and eager to envision a bright future together. The leadership of our parish has responded to this call by developing a roadmap toward sustainability and vitality in the years to come.

A key part of this journey is addressing urgent deferred capital maintenance issues and restoring our reserve fund so that we can focus our energy on mission and ministry. We are entrusted with the stewardship of our sacred space, ensuring it remains a comfortable and welcoming home to all who come here to nurture their spiritual lives through worship, formation, outreach, and fellowship.

After making your annual stewardship pledge —which is vitally important to maintaining our daily ministries—I invite you to prayerfully consider a special gift to our capital campaign. Every gift of any size is meaningful and symbolizes our shared commitment to this community and its future. And as much as any financial gift, our prayers and presence as the people of Christ & Saint Stephen’s Church are essential as we respond faithfully to God’s call to us in this time and place.

Almighty and everliving God, ruler of all things in heaven and earth, hear our prayer for this parish family. Strengthen the faithful, arouse the careless, and restore the penitent. Grant us all things necessary for our common life, and bring us to be of one heart and mind within your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN
